Department of Sociology

This department trains students to think about the issues and problems of society and its people in a multi-faceted manner from the perspective of sociology, collecting accurate data and analyzing it using the methodology of modern sociology. Moreover, students will be able to express the insights they gain in a convincing manner and work together with various people to find solutions to these issues. They will focus on one issue or cultural phenomena of contemporary society and develop the ability to research it on one’s own through classes emphasizing fieldwork and hand-on practice. The professors of the respective students’ seminar will help support and guide the students’ research and study.
