Accommodations for International Students
Otani University has rooms at the Mukaijima Gakusei Center (Fushimi-ku, Kyoto), which is operated by the Kyoto Public Housing Supply Corporation. The rooms here are designed for incoming students, specifically those who are embarking on life in Japan for the first time. International students who are studying at academic institutions in and around Kyoto, as well as other students, live in the Center’s well-equipped facilities. Students are able to develop friendships with people from around the world by attending the various events held at the Center.
To rent one of the rooms allotted to Otani University, apply through Otani at the same time you submit your application for admission. Room applications made directly to Mukaijima Gakusei Center will not be accepted.
As the number of rooms allotted to Otani University is limited, you are encouraged to contact us at your earliest possible convenience.

Real Estate Agents
If you are interested in a particular area for living, it is convenient to contact a real estate agent who will be able to offer information on various types of housing situations. Real estate agents are often located near colleges and major railway stations. It should be noted, however, that in some cases handling fees and deposits can be quite expensive. It is advisable to prepare a clear idea about your preferences and define your budget limitations. Otani University can introduce you to a real estate agent (Flat Agency Corporation).
