Department of Literature

Through a close and accurate reading of literary works, students of this department learn to appreciate the thoughts and feelings of humanity in all of their complexity. They also are taught to develop a deep sensitivity towards words and to foster the flexibility necessary to live in our increasingly complex modern society.
